Graduate School Entrance Examinations


Today, more than ever, graduate and law school applications are expected to reach all time highs as college graduates took to improve their employment prospects in an uncertain economy. Therefore, competitive scores on entrance exams will be essential for admission to any post-graduate program.


For the past 16 years I have been helping students to prepare for the verbal sections of the GRE and GMAT, teaching students concrete strategies and methodologies for solving reading, vocabulary and grammar based questions. 


Alyssa Petrone Test Prep students will:


  1. •Learn the “tip-offs” to the most commonly tested grammar errors (GMAT)

  2. •Thoroughly review the most commonly tested grammar rules (GMAT)

  3. •Learn how to identify the various elements of an argument to make it easier to hone in on the correct answer (GMAT)

  4. •Identify the most common “assumptions” underlying argument based reading passages (GMAT)

  5. •Learn how to “decode” and “work” sentence completions, analogies and antonyms (GRE)

  6. •Find the “SCOPE” of a reading passage and use it to make sense of long, convoluted reading passages (GRE)

  7. •Learn how to set up an essay to achieve the best possible score (GRE,GMAT).
